Vallecito Lake is one of Colorado's largest and most beautiful lakes. Vallecito is located only 25 miles northeast of Durango. The beautiful recreational area offers year-round enjoyment for the entire family.

Navajo Lake is Colorado's answer to Lake Powell. Located approximately 45 miles from Durango, this reservoir extends for 35 miles south into New Mexico. The reservoir contains both warm and cold water species. Fish for record-size northern pike, rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, large-mouth bass and catfish without crowds. To fish the Colorado side you need a Colorado Fishing License. Explore three major rivers and sail or water ski on open waters. There is a boat ramp and marina.
